Match the person, not just the name

People can share a name. Compare the professional’s firm, office, and CRD number when one is available. Follow the linked regulator record rather than assuming a search-engine result belongs to the same person. If the identifiers disagree, ask the firm to confirm the correct record.

Treat historical information as historical

Our imported records come from a supplied workbook whose precise snapshot date is not known. The import date tells you when the data was loaded, not when an affiliation was verified. A business email or phone may have changed. Use the firm’s official website to confirm current details.

Separate missing data from a negative conclusion

A profile without a phone number, photograph, or stated minimum is incomplete on that point; it is not evidence of poor service. Similarly, an attractive portrait or a long biography does not establish suitability. Use the same questions for every candidate and record the answers consistently.
