They share a professional data source. Their presence on several sites does not constitute several independent endorsements.
This publication focuses on inspecting and comparing professional records. Source labels, public-record links, and explicit missing-data messages are central to that process.
How guided matching and introductions work
Guided matching compares your selected priorities with published practice descriptions and office information. Confirmed participants also supply service states, meeting options, and minimums. Known incompatibilities are excluded; unknown details are identified for confirmation. Suggestions are ordered by relevant published information, then alphabetically for ties. Participation does not add a paid ranking boost.
Research suggestions are not suitability determinations or assurances of registration, quality, availability, or performance. The public directory is broader than the introduction service. A request goes to Investments Near Me first. Browsing does not share contact details; we record your selected profiles and permission for our team to respond when you submit. A scheduling link is shown only after its participation details are confirmed. The scheduling provider confirms the appointment.
These tools are free to visitors. Advisory firms set their own service fees. Fincadia profiles are drawn from published sources and follow the same participation confirmation process as other profiles. No advisor is automatically contacted or enrolled by appearing in the directory.
Experience and regulatory-report badges
Selected profiles include a dated review of the FINRA BrokerCheck PDF, matched to the professional’s CRD and identity. A green check means the report summary answered “No” to disclosed events. It does not certify that a person has never faced a settlement, complaint, adverse action, or other issue. FINRA reporting rules determine what the report contains; check the current report and SEC adviser database as appropriate.
Reports showing disclosure events receive a neutral factual label and a link to the underlying details. A disclosure may contain a disputed allegation, a pending matter, or a settled matter; read the report for context and outcome. Unreviewed, incomplete, or mismatched records receive no green check. After 30 days, our dated badge changes to “Review needs updating” until the source is rechecked. This is Investments Near Me’ editorial review policy, not a regulator’s certification.
The experience figure shows completed years since the earliest registration month in the reviewed report, through its review date. Month-only dates are counted conservatively. It can include gaps and does not measure continuous employment, years giving advice, expertise, or quality. Where this has not been documented, the profile says so.
Two kinds of records
The shared directory contains 63,717 professional records and 531 firm records as of its September 16, 2026 import summary. Its largest source is a supplied workbook with creation metadata in September 2023 and no reliable per-record snapshot date. Importing a record does not verify its current affiliation or contact information.
Researched profiles include professional source links, with a recorded review date where available. A review is a check of the cited source, not an audit, regulatory approval, suitability determination, or confirmation of investment results. Information may change after review.
How results and collections are ordered
The advisor directory searches researched profiles and historical records by default. The record-type filter narrows that scope. Relevance order prioritizes exact name matches, researched profiles, and available portraits, followed by alphabetical order; the Name A–Z option sorts alphabetically. Search results use public directory summaries so browsing does not depend on loading every full record. Full profile details are requested when you open a profile. If that service is unavailable, the saved summary remains visible with a notice. Leadership filters match the stated roles and exclude vice-president titles from the President filter. Home-page selections come from researched profiles with available portraits. These choices are not a quality ranking. Collections apply the displayed location or topic rule, sort matching names alphabetically, and show up to ten.
These publications do not issue performance-based awards, star ratings, or “best advisor” scores. Source data and brand names must not be interpreted as an assurance of quality. The sites are not affiliated with Fortune Media.
Firm and nearby searches
Firm pages show linked records in the public search index, with local researched profiles taking precedence over older affiliations. Linked counts describe directory records, not a firm’s current headcount. The index refresh date describes when the search data was copied; it does not verify a historical record.
Nearby results use GeoNames postal data to approximate city centers and sort by estimated straight-line distance. Distances do not represent driving routes or verified street addresses. Records without usable office cities are excluded. The advisor-role filter uses published job titles, not a registration check. Confirm the current office and appointment with the firm before visiting.
Meeting worksheets store the visitor’s own answers and notes in their browser. A filled-in answer is not independent verification or a recommendation.
Corrections, privacy, and original sources
